David Jackson was founded guilty in 2006 for the 1999 stabbing death of Daryl Brown where David defended himself. I went to America to visit David in 2010. After hearing his side and reading all pages of transcripts I knew, that an innocence man was sentenced to die for merely defending himself. I wanted to tell here his side, the only support I can do. I am afraid that the government will kill him for something he don't did. I used to create my first petition the transcripts from the government side. This could gives a false impression about David's case. What the transcripts, that are out there, didn't say is how David was himself a victim, a victim of his own lawyer who literally helped the government. The prison in Beaumont was one of the most violent federal prison in the US, so violent that is has now been closed down as a United State Penitentiary. Brown and forced to defend himself. D. Brown, who decided to rob David at knife, was transferred from institution to institution for his violent acts of robbing and stabbing other inmates. He was a person known potentially hazardous. David trial lawyers dropped the ball by failing to present this evidence to the jury in fact they didn't even do an investigation into D. Browns background. On 12.16.1999 D. Brown intentionally started an argument with David as he was going to his unit. Witness verified that D. Brown started this fight. He pulled out a knife and started swinning at David and striking him in the hand. Through an act of God David was able to disarm D. Brown. He was fearing for his life. The representation of D. Brown was David chased him and another fight ensures where D. Brown was stabbed until he die later. The toxicology report says D. Brown was high on drugs but David attornies did present this to the jury. Again they drop the ball out of 12 jury's. 9 of them said that D. Brown was the first aggressor in the fight. However the jury still founded David guilty. Although it says the charge of first degree. There reasoning was something other then the actual charge: "According to the jurors interviewed, returning Mr. Jackson to the General Population was, in effect, exactly what he wanted. Being in General Population allows him access to other inmates, personnel and continues his gambling business. Therefore, to prevent Mr. Jackson from committing future acts of violence against others in prison or society, the jurors voted to sentence Mr. Jackson to death for his action against Mr. Brown." Through out this trial the lawyers continually dropped the ball in so many words sold him out. We have no doubt that David was not given a fair trial. We believe that had David been given a fair trial, the mounting evident of this case would have free him out of hundred's of prison murders. David Jackson is the only one who sets on Federal Death Row for self defense. There are some of the evident that did not come out in trial. Where is the justice? David Jackson was originally sent to prison for carrying a gun and was sentenced to 15 years in 1990. Here we are 20 years later. Now he set on Death Row for defending himself. Our goal is to fight for David to receive a new trial. This would give him a chance to present all the evident of the case not some as the prosecutor has done but all. I believe that David Jackson acted in self defense. David is now represented by one of the largest firm in the US that have brought forth evidence of innocence. I n 2011 David will release his first book "Standing on Death". This book is an autobiography and is dedicated to deter the younger generation from prison and death. Since in prison David has achieved a degree in Juvenile counseling. He has taken psychology classes. He has received certificate in parenting economics USA and more...
