I am boycotting your company until you make a public apology to Machine Head and the other bands you have recently banned from playing at the House of Blues venues in Anaheim & Orlando. That was a poor business decision! It was also extremely tacky based on the short notice given to them and their fans that were attending these shows.
Also, telling these bands that their fans were "undesirable" was a downright despicable thing to say. Do you not know or understand that the metal community is part of your consumer base that watches and buys your movies, TV shows, DVDs, goes to your theme parks, and are shareholders of your company? That's right! These "undesirables" own stock in your company. Furthermore, your company consists of employees that are a part of the metal community. They are all around you. Yet, as undesirable as they are, they are a part of helping you maintain your job, your paycheck, your prestige, your lifestyle, and feed your family.
You have time to make this right. There are more metal bands scheduled at these venues in the near future. If you do not correct this wrong and continue to ban these metal bands, you will see a united front against your company that you have never seen before. Disney, I strongly urge you to do the right thing before you awaken this global sleeping giant and your bottom line is severely affected because of it. |

| 57 | Phil Sackoor | I have been to many shows at the House of Blues in Anaheim. Not once have I seen an instance where people who were attending a metal cause major issues. Yes its a concert. Yes, alcohol is being served. But to those who feel that this mixture is not Disneyesque, they need to move the venue. All music styles bring their crowds. Whether it be a country, jam, or urban artist, the same things will happen. This is Disney's way to say its OK to wear a cowboy hat or extra baggy clothes with bling. However, you can't wear a shirt with a skull on it, have tattoos or piercings, nor enjoy a musical style which has developed over the years from the venues very own name, the Blues. |

Disney can do whatever they want, I dont like it but its there business. But they canceled a lot of already planned shows causing a lot of hassel - and financial problems for the artists. My last point is they call this the house of blues - A music made famous by a man named Robert Johnson - and his lyrics were about prostitution, gambeling, being an outlaw and a reoccuring theme was - Selling his soul to the devil. I try not to expose them to violent music or movies, but I would rather that they listened to metal rather than hip hop. Hip hop is overtly sexual and most of the time mindless with nothing of value to say. Metal may have some violent material but at least it is generally thought provoking and artistic. Hip hop has mindless lyrics such as "I love you like a fat kid loves cake" Wow thats talented!! While Metal has always been knows for it's deep emotion, political views and thought provocation!
