Anonymousunbloody believeable. They better take the bars out of the area as well because that promotes alcholism. Can't have adults their either they might use foul language then what. Oh, yeah that right lets ban freedom of speach while we are at it. But they will support actresses the have nude photos on the internet because she helped make them some money. Are they nuts??

NicoleHouse of Blues used to be my favorite place to go see metal shows. This is so disappointing for many southern california metal fans. We will fight and this will not go unheard. What a ridiculous reason to not have good selling shows. This almost makes me want to never go to House of Blues Disneyland ever again, no matter how good a show.

JamieThis is tupid....metal is just a type of music it doesnt mean that disney is gonna turn in to the devil!!
jacob monroyIf they are goin to let hip hop still play there, then they sould let metal play as well. Metal has never killed anyone, but if disney still promotes hip hop then they might as well tell kids to join gangs and sell drugs. That's not right, metal brings everyone together and disney is taking that right away.

Michele TylerAs one of the main concert venues for metal bands south of LA, CA, the House of Blues Anaheim has a fairly consistent number of metal shows. The banning of metal concerts is a bad business move. In addition, the venue is discriminating against a specific genre of music. Not only are you losing many customers, most of which go to every metal show at this venue, you are possibly overstepping your authority. Are you going to stop all goths from going to Disneyland now? Will anyone wearing a Nightmare Before Christmas shirt be kicked off the presmises? This move is unreasonable and unjust. You are judging people by their taste in music, and automatically assuming that they are violent and a nuisance. You may have a lawsuit on your hands.

Zach DunneI find it also hypocritical that Disney would cancel Metal concerts by bands that I love but yet have never sued the TV Station run by the Islamic militant group Hamas for using characters that blatanly plagiarize Mickey Mouse and the Lion King to preach messages of hate against the West. Shows how screwed up those idiots at Disney's priorities are.

AnonymousThis is ridiculous! So Disney finds it acceptable to have parades and special days in their parks for homosexuals, but to accommodate those of us who love a specific type of music, that's too much? That's so hypocritical! (Please note: I personally do not have anything against people of any sexual orientation, but if you or your company are going to give special treatment to one group that many people find offensive, it doesn't seem right to go picking and choosing other potentially offensive groups to discriminate against.)
Donn JalbertThe presumption by these anal retentive corporate moral majority types that all Metal fans are some kind of dirty, unpleasant rabble not fit to walk upon their hallowed overpriced tourist trap is both insulting and degrading.
Rick MIt is regrettable that fans of metal are often categorized in totality as being uneducated, drug addicted, violent, and cast offs from society. Moreover, it is also regrettable that metal bands are all generally assumed to espouse slander, hate, Satanism, and anti-governmental ideals. Metal, like all the other genres is a show. These concerts create an atmosphere for escapism for many, just as concerts of other genres do. I have been to countless metal concerts and have seen no acts of violence, received no directives to strike out against government or religion, and have heard no words telling me that what I was about to witness is to be taken as gospel. If anything, metal seems at its core to espouse one main ideology: think for yourself. Metal has imagery that goes against the grain of normal, "canned" society? Sure. Think outside the box. But to declare metal as the "only" genre with an offensive style is terribly short-sighted. What about hip hop and its degradation of women, its often touting money as the reason to live, and its frequent dalliance with gang-related themes? Even country music has had its flirtations with sexual themes (e.g. "save a horse, ride a cowboy"). If metal is to be treated with such disdain then shouldn't Disney paint hip hop and country with the same broad brush of criticism? Or perhaps Disney should do what it does best -- make money. Leave the choices to those who interact with its agencies. Just because a band is booked at a Disney venue does not obligate me to go see them if I have concerns I might object to the content of the performance! I have the freedom of choice. The message Disney seems to be sending is that freedom from choice is what the consuming public deserves. I find that though process pitiable and objectionable.
Ron OboikovitzI will not be attending any of thier parks or movies from now on if this stands.
Dr. MetalI attend the House of Blues for EVERY metal show here in Orlando. It would be a HUGE mistake to discriminate against a particular genre of music, whether it be metal or anything else. Don't make this mistake. Or shows will go somewhere I else. Maybe somewhere I can take a freaking photo!

Brian CloughMetal is simply a style of music just like country, bluegrass, hip hop, and opera. I'm wondering if Disney would discriminate against hip hop music with artist such as Snoop Dog and 50 Cent? I bet not.
Sean P GahganI will boycott Disney products unitl this is resolved.
Clay BartonThere are plently of positive metal acts out there...don't let the bad ones leave you biased.
kristy katzIf I am an "undesirable fan" than I guess my money will undesireable to Disneyland and their affiliates as well.

AnonymousHip Hop is worse than metal for lyrics.
AnonymousThere are PLENTY of metal bands that have a clean image and words. And there are a quite a few that do send out a positive message. Like the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover.

Eric BolesThis is a disgrace against the art form that is music and goes against the free rights of expression. If a family does not want to got to the House Blues because a certain act might be offensive to them, then they shouldn't go in there. Nuff said.
