If you loved Joss Whedon's Firefly TV series and Serenity, the movie that it spawned, then please sign this petition to have Disney consider buying the rights to Firefly and getting it back on TV. Firefly aired for the first time in 2002 but was axed by Fox after just fourteen episodes. The shows' creator, Joss Whedon, didn't give up on Firefly and he managed to get it flying again in 2005 in the form of a big screen movie version called Serinty. Since then Firefly and Serenity have went on to enjoy very healthy DVD sales and the show now has a large following and a real cult status amongst its fans. Last year Disney bought the Star Wars franchise and we're all optimistic that they'll breath new life into it and give us some great new movies. I see no reason why they couldn't do the same with Firefly. If you'd love to see Firefly back on air again then sign this petition and let Disney, or anyone else willing to give Firefly a chance, know about it! Thanks :-)
