I love the Wicked series and it seems like it would fit perfectly within the Disney universe. It's a story that has captured the hearts of millions that has seen the broadway/off-broadway productions. Also the books are a joy to read as well. I have yet to see the entire broadway production but it is my dream to go to New York and see it some day. But I also think Disney could do an amazing animated adaptation of Wicked. After the success of Frozen I have no doubts in my mind that Disney wouldn't succeed at this venture as well. Also this helps to expand the Oz franchise that they began previously. I could see it now, I would bring back Idina back for the role of Elphaba, she has a strong voice that can carry a show like no other. Also rather than using the same animation as Frozen, I'd suggest Disney use the traditional animation that most of the Disney princesses were drawn with. For example like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Princess and the Frog. I know over the years the computer animated productions like Tangled have been extremely popular, but I believe Wicked would be better with the traditional animation. The traditional animations that I grew up watching just felt so much more magical, and exciting when I would watch them as a young girl. But in the end if Disney were to just produce an animated Wicked I'd be content. So this is why I am asking people to sign this petition, if you love Wicked or the Wizard of series please sign and help me gain support. If your a die hard disney fan please support this petition and sign it please. This story deserves to be told only in the way that Disney can breath magic and life into its story and characters.
