Comments: Dr. Sheffield should be ashamed of all this chaos she has caused..When the previous superintendent had the job he managed to get District 205 in the black and in the short time she has been here she has practically alienated the people who don't agree with her high handed tactics, but since she was brought in under the crooked Mayor Morrissey's approval and her background should have been closely scutinized and when even he can't control her shows that she is out of control. When her credentials was not up to state standards she should not have been hired Pay her out of her contract and send her on her way out of Illinois.

Comments: I am so disgusted with this woman. She is taking full advantage of her status to eliminate important programs for the children that need them. All she is going to do is place the burden on the parents to remove their children from RPS 205 and place them into private schools where they will obtain the decent education that they deserve and need. This is ridiculous what she is proposing ! Why not close out the charter schools ? The main reason parents send their children to these schools anyways (from parents thoughts that I have personally heard expressed), is so they can have more time to themselves and the children have more time in school, not for education mind you, but for them to be away from their parents longer times and months. Why, if she wants to propose "her" cuts, doesn't she start with the wages of all persons involved, including herself ? That would be a good start and a good moral example, then propose other short term budget cuts ? She is driving people and their children out of the district. I myself, am looking into other options at this time because I don't agree whatsoever with anything this woman has done and apparently nobody that's in a position of power has any balls to do anything about her. Let's not forget how well she lies. When she came here, she wasn't even certified to be in her position at all. Why wasn't she discharged at that point in time ? If she had been mexican or white, they probably would have run her out of town. This is simply insane. I am not trying to make this a racial issue, I am not racist at all. However, it just seems to stand, that they couldn't want to get our previous superintendant out quick enough to bring this wench in for what ? So she can hurt the children even more ? She needs to be gone from our system !

Comments: Everybody at the School Board building should be fired and be replaced with people that have some common sence. They rake in so much money from property taxes and mis-manage every single dime and always claim we have no money well where is all the money they get ? ? ?Just look at your tax bills people half of that stupid bill is for the schools and yet they want more. They should take pay cuts even better volunteer their time since they cant do anything right ! ! !

Comments: We need to dismiss the entire school board! The board hires the administrators, and they paid extra money for this superintendent who was not even qualified when she got the job! The last superintendent was let go with full salary and probably still gets funds from us. How many failed superintendents do we need to get before we eliminate the people who hire them? It's time to move toward the end of this school district and form another. We need a whole new set-up, with rules that include accountability and criminal penalties for malfeasance or dereliction of required duties. Because the school board is a primarily volunteer position is no reason that criminal actions should not receive criminal consequences. What has been done to the school children and parents of this district for the last 30 years is criminal!

Comments: she is not looking out for our childrens best interests by crowding classroom, eliminating sports because she cant balance a budget and cut stup spending like extravagant getaways for so called "workshops" when we are in the red. and she is full of herself that shes playing god with our schools.

Comments: I think Levonne Sheffield does not have our children's best interest related to education in her highest priorities. The fact that she was going to make children stand outside in below zero weather last year is just ridiculous besides her wanting to close schools next school year and take away schools for children that would otherwise be lost in a regular classroom proves this point. We need a superintendent who wants our children to suceed no matter what their learning abilities are.

Comments: Please don't let Dr. Sheffield succeed in making the Teachers' Union concede to salary and benefit cuts! Make Dr. Sheffield cut her salary and benefits! If the Union concedes, they lose not only their benefits, but they lose their power! It's hard to gain that back once it is lost.

Comments: Our school district has gone from bad to worse. The thought of the kids who are underprivledged losing their opportunity for scholarships for colleges d/t proposed cuts in sports is unheard of. Closing schools will again overcrowd our classrooms and make it more difficult for teachers to teach the students. After all, isn't that what it is all about? Teaching the children?
