This petition is meant for the United States as a nation. People every day are being denied jobs, the opportunity to make a living or support a family because of the color of their hair or because they have tattoos or piercings. I believe this is wrong and it violates our rights stated under the constitution. I want this to be a nationwide petition to protect our rights so we are not forced to limit our potential in the work force, or to have to take measures to hide ourselves because of what we look like. Why should we be treated differently or concidered differently in the persuit of a job because we have a tattoo or piercing or different colored hair, even when we have the experience or training to perform well Why should we have to cover our individuality I believe so long as a person is dressed professionally and acts respectfully and performs well at the given task it should not matter what we look like. So please, even if you don\'t have tattos, piercings, or dyed hair, stand with me to stop discrimination based on personal appearance. Sign this petition so that we may make working any job not out of reach just because of what we look like! Let every person have a Freedom of Appearance and Self Expression!

I am a 19 year old mother. I am afaid to express my own individuality because of how it may limit my persuits of bringing my son up in financial security. I also fear that it will limit the advancement I can make in any field or carreer. I am personally a very creative person and view my skin and hair as a beautiful canvas to portray my individuality and personality. Living in a right-to-work state, i could be denied work for even one tatto or piercing, or any hair color beside a natural tone. I believe that this is wrong. Please help me open other people\'s eyes to what goes on in the work place and the prejudice that keeps some people from persuing carreers.
