Name: Rachel Mc Nally on Feb 9, 2012Comments: I really hope you re-consider these cuts as we went into this occupation only last year not knowing we were going to be faced with this. How can teachers be working in the same profession with totally different salaries, how is this fair or right or even legal?Flag

Name: Orla McDonnell on Feb 9, 2012Comments: With my BA in politics and economics, Diploma in Marketing and PR and Higher Diploma in e executive Advertising, as well as six years working in Media I feel I have more to contribute than your average 'entry level' nqt. The majority of Hibernia students are in a similar situation, bringing a huge amount of variety and a wealth of information to the classrooms. We embarked on pur teaching journey with an expectation we would be paid accordingly in an equal and fair system. We now find ourselves facing an unequal and biased education system in which the staff rooms will be full of animosity and resentment. These bully-boy tactics of singling out those without a proper voice is outrageous and this could potentially lead to the ruin of the teaching profession.Flag

Name: Jonathan Kinsella MA on Feb 9, 2012Comments: As a current Post Graduate student with Hibernia College, the actions of this Government have left me sickened and disillusioned. This is surely an illegal action that discriminates against NQTs. So much for your Knowledge Economy - it appears that this Government is not bothered about the academic achievements of NQTs and the future education of Ireland's children. Short sightedness as ever. Is Fine Gael and Labour Fianna Fáil in disguise? You have lost the hope of Ireland's youth.Flag
