Comments: Now Michael O'Connor DTSC, not fulfilling your mandate from the 12th September, of course it keeps changing, edit here, edit there, clean it up after trying to do damage: "It should be noted that the committee gave a mandate to the Secretary at a previous meeting on 11th September to contact the SSAI to raise the question of DK's recommendation to the DOJ and Garda that he would be the person to certify people for reloading when it comes in, as he was a qualified instructor in same." Comments: I have ben following this on boards for the last week or so and have just read Mark's latest tirade on the pro FLAG petition. How sad this all is. Mark you should look up the sign's of Obsesive Compulsion Disorer and Egoic Disorder, very dangerous when mixed with malevolence and vindictiveness. Stop this before we have notting left to protect.

Comments: 2/8 is not 1/3. And no, because they don't merrily take swipes at the petition without posting their name where their mouth is. But then, as Declan's petition with it's 250 duplicate entries showed this morning, for all I know, there's one sole person posting to Declan's petition...

Comments: I strongly protest the notion that Declan Keogh would be chosen to represent anyone to the Department of Justice or for that matter to anyone else. He is unsuited to such a role, and has proven himself utterly useless at it in the past decade, and has done nothing but cause trouble and strife in the target shooting community, and has no shortage of those who feel this way in the hunting community and the firearms trade. Many unanswered questions hang over Declan's conduct in the past few years, which he waves away by stating that "it's all in the past". He has already publicly resigned in writing to the Irish Shooters Digest from the role he is now complaining at not having been invited to take up. The current SSAI representative has met the DoJ in the past year several times with Declan, according to Declan himself, and thus a handover has been accomplished. Declan is not a delphic oracle with regard to firearms legislation, having been shown to be wrong on several occasions in public on boards.ie and in other public forums, as well as in private ones. Declan has also deliberately attacked NGBs whose best interests he was claiming to represent at the time. All this has been publicly laid out in the boards.ie shooting forum, and is common knowlege amongst just about every shooting club in the country. It is reprehensible, but not out of character, that Declan, not happy that the SSAI has - wholly within its rights as the body from which FLAG derives its mandate, an arrangement that Declan himself willingly put in place in 2001 and 2004 - decided to not devolve responsibility to FLAG for the Firearms Consultative Panel; would immediately take the argument to a public forum without even trying to resolve the issue in private, a practise he has constantly and falsely berated fellow shooters for over the years. Declan was invited to the SSAI meeting where the decision was made; he declined the invitation in writing. He was given ample notice of the meeting - more so, in fact than several other attendees. The simple fact here is that the SSAI has made a decision. FLAG is bound, by rules Declan himself drafted, to accept that decision. There is more than sufficient expertise to replace him; there is certainly more diplomatic skill available. Noone is being deprived of representation at the table by this decision. I may not agree with the existance of the SSAI, but I cannot fault this decision. I do find it of interest that there are people who voted in the decision making process who have signed this petition; as well as several who have had public fallings-out with the SSAI; and I believe that I see the names of close relatives of Declan on the list as well, a practise which does nothing for the credibility of the support Declan claims from this petition. I believe Declan, that the time has come for you to accept that we no longer wish to be represented by you, and that you would be best served by retiring from the administration of the sport quietly, with what dignity and honour you have left attached to your name in the eyes of the shooting community. Continuing this farce is damaging to your good name, to the good name of the shooting sports in Ireland, and to the position of the SSAI on the Firearms Consultative Panel.

Comments: Mark Dennehy Declan's already shown that he won't (or can't) support all shooting sports by directly, maliciously and without provocation attacking a member of the NRPAI when he was meant to represent all members of the NRPAI. You're failing to learn from history if you believe otherwise. 160 Anonymous Mark this is not boards.ie post your dirt on your own petition site. Thankfully you can't censor this one. 161 Mark Dennehy I don't censor boards and I don't have to censor here, Declan does that. By the way, for those who believe Declan is a proponent of all the shooting sports, keep an eye out. I've just been told that Declan intends to, along with other bodies that have had fallings-out with the SSAI and whose members are signed up here, to go to the Irish Sports Council with some half-assed complaint of discrimination. That'll be the second time he'll have attacked a sport he claims to defend. Will it be excused immediately then as well on the grounds that it will be in the past at the point someone complains about it 162 Deadeye dick Mark You do censor{edit] boards is that not the job you took on, you censored mine more than once. There again thats power. Like the other guy said go back to your own site

Comments: Mark Dennehy Nope, nothing's ever been censored from boards (with the exception of posts that have no content save foul language, shills, that sort of thing). *Everything* posted that followed the charter - and several hundred things by Declan because he'd scream censorship if you didn't let him tell you you were a - has remained there, untouched. (We might have moved stuff when threads get split, but the stuff is never deleted). You might not agree with deleting posts where people were just practising with foul language; but if you have something to say and say it in plain english on the boards.ie forum, it remains there for all to see. (Until Declan threatens the site administrator with libel again, of course. Now why isn't *that* act one of censorship) 165 Mark Dennehy By the way, would Declan care to explain why he's complaining when the SSAI already asked the DoJ for Declan to be their second proxy at the FCP Is it just that if Declan can't be first, Declan has to throw the toys out of the pram 166 Deadeye dick Mark I can see why your still here and not on your own site, much bigger audience over here. Now that must tell even you something. You DO CENSOR and its not the first time you have been accused of it. Now if you won't answer questions on your own pititions site maybe you will here. How many people do you speak for.

Comments: Ah, more anonymous posting. And it was 260-odd on Declan's "they're being mean to me" petition the other morning - with about a hundred identical posts saying that it was easy to fake posts to an ipetition. Which makes me wonder if all of this isn't just another example of Declan agreeing with himself while the rest of us just shake our head in disbelief at him.

Mark himself says he only deletes posts that are using profane or abusive language. Clearly to Mark any kind of honesty is profane. Fascinating how with only 15 signatures ye can afford to be deleting any. Maybe the other hundred or so signatures that are lacking got deleted too....
