This is a petition regarding the Disabled season/match tickets for Barnsley Football Club. I'm currently a disabled STH with my dad. My friend who is also disabled is wanting to go to home matches. When the 1/2 ST went on sale they went into the box office and made an enquiry about a 1/2 ST for disabled and the lady in the box office said that a 1/2 ST wasnt avaliable for disabled as they have to keep some seats for match day tickets which was fair enough then for the last 6 home matches they have rang up for match day tickets and have been told that all disabled spaces are taken up by season ticket holders.To the right of my seat (outside) there has been 1 disabled person sat there all season and that was the sheff utd home game the rest of the time its empty and also the seat infront of mine has been empty all season as our friends moved inside so there IS SPACE!. My friend asked the box office if they could have a match day ticket for the reading home game coming up and they told them that the only way they would be able to fit them in the disabled stand (inside) is at the back standing what good is this to a disabled person or person in a wheelchair..? i understand that the disabled area isnt as big as the rest of the ground and there isnt as many spaces but when theres empty seats why are they refusing fans ? MR Robins & Mr Cryne are saying week in week out they wants bums on seats and more fans threw the gate but yet fans cant get tickets for matches even when there is space! Ive emailed the club and had no reply and also ive written a letter and no reply...so its petition time come on guys lets get together and try & sort this out people have a right to go and watch/support their teams disabled or not.
