Comments: I am a mother of an autistic child. I am appauled and outraged at the ignorant, hateful comments made by Michael Savage. He has every right as an American to say what ever fool thing he wants to say, but as a community we have the right to hold Talk Radio Networks and the companies that sponsor his show accountable for condoning his lies. You can be sure that I will be watching carefully to see what is to come.

Comments: The man, Savage, is obviously ignorant of the reality of Autism on this planet. I can't imagine why he would make such outrageous comments. He has made a fool of himself as well as the programs sponsors.

Comments: As the parent of a teen diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome I find Mr. Savages' remarks offensive, malicious and just plain wrong. There are no drugs for autism (there goes the Pharma/Dr conspiracy), autism is indeed underidentified (there goes that overdiagnosis conspiracy), there is no monetary benefit to the diagnosis - quite the opposite really (there goes that big bucks welfare conspiracy) . The only conspiracy going on here is Mr. Savages' attempt to get more attention to his program through spreading disinformation, outright lies and encouraging hate speech against a portion of the population most vulnereable. And to the advertisers out there who are not getting the outrage, those 50 million consumers with disabilities and a spending power of $200 billion have families and friends who also have disposable income and they have taken note of the companies that have done the right thing - and those companies who haven't.

Comments: Michael Weiner should retract his statements. Not only are they completely inaccurate at a time when people need accurate and responsible media coverage of autism, they perpetuate a climate of hate speech. Hate speech has been show to lead to hate crimes against individuals with disabilities and others who are perceived as different than the rest.

Comments: This man represents a real danger to the freedom of the press, as he has not shown any responsibility for his actions and by doing so, has shown that he is the REAL coward here and has abused the public good by engaging in such despicable acts. Perhaps we should do him a favor by sending a message to every conservative people and groups that by displaying such non-Christian behavior by preying on the weak and helpless, they have shown their true hypocracy by supporting such an inhuman person such as Michael Savage and his "savage" message to the world.

Comments: I am an veteran public school teacher. The comments made by Michael Savage promote a damaging and misinformed attitude about autism. These comments are akin to saying children with dyslexia just need to "try harder". I encourage Mr. Savage to visit an autism care facility so he can witness first hand the challenges faced by children and their families living with this medical condition.

Comments: I think it is a shame in todays socitiy that we have people like that " SAVAGE MAN " , That are as ignorant as he . As i sit here writing this message I would hope that GOD has not bless him with childern , so that they wouldn't have to go through the disgrace of knowing that their father has said something so hurtful to millions of people with disabilities. As I am the GRANDMOTHER of an VERY SPECIAL BOY who did not ask to at 10mos. to start having seizures that were also linked to AUTISM and other problems that came along with disabilities. I ASK FOR YOUR SUPPORT TO PULL YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE TRN.

Comments: Dad of an Aspie - Savage's "taken out of context" argument is completely bogus. Out of context indeed! I listened to his show last night and he knows absolutely NOTHING about Autism and ASDs. He can't possibly argue that he is trying to protect and defend kids with this disorder, because he is completely and utterly ignorant on the subject. Furthermore, he demonstrated absolutely no interest in being educated on the subject by his two guests, Wendy Fournier of the National Autism Association and Dr. Stephen Camarata of Vanderbilt University. He just took bits and pieces of their statements out of context to support his own(ridiculous) opinions.

Comments: Mr. Savage's remarks were ignorant and extremely irresponsible. His employer needs to understand that we parent's of children with autism are consumers and we will not accept broadcasting of this insulting, misrepresentation of our children and other disabled individuals. I will not buy from sponsors who support this show and I am sure I am not alone!! There are more of us every day unfortunately.
