DOES THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION HAVE THE RIGHT TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR PROPERTY RIGHTS WITHOUT TELLING YOU? SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY (740) RESIDENTS OF DIMOCK AND SPRINGVILLE, PA ARE INCLUDED IN THE DIMOCK DRILLING BAN. DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE INCLUDED? The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has designated a 9-square mile area of land in Dimock as “off limits” to drilling for natural gas. They refuse to answer the questions asked by the very same landowners whose property rights they are restraining. We have been waiting since 2009 for the PA DEP to conclude their studies of the Dimock area. Do you realize that it took only 5 years to build the Hoover Dam, yet the DEP has worked in Dimock for 4 years with no resolution even though they claim to be diligently working on it? On July 26, 2012 the U.S. EPA announced its findings that contaminant levels in Dimock's water show no health threat and no connection to hydraulic fracturing chemicals.

We sent a letter and have been waiting9 months for DEP answers to the following questions: • How did they come up with 9-square miles; i.e., why are some of our lands included even though we live nowhere near Carter Road? • Why has the PA DEP not given Dimock and Springville landowners the courtesy of contacting us in order to inform us that (a) our lands are actually within or affected by the 9-square miles, and (b) our lands are being held back from natural gas development? Dimock and Springville residents should be aware that if you are in a gas pooling unit that includes any acreage at all within the 9-square miles, your land is also being held back from natural gas development. 740 landowners are included – yet some don’t even know their land is included. To find out if your name is on the list of affected landowners, e-mail your request to dimockproud@gmail.com. • Why haven’t they tested the well water of each and every household included in the drilling ban? Neither methane nor pH levels are now, nor have they ever been, an issue for 99% of the families included in the drilling ban. We told the DEP that and it fell on deaf ears. Let’s get the answers we deserve from the DEP. Let’s hold them accountable! STOP THE DIMOCK DRILLING BAN NOW! We askall landowners, no matter where you live,to unite and sign our free online petition or you too may be unjustly included in a drilling ban in the future.
