We stand behind the Davenport 100 percent! It has become a fixture to downtown San Antonio and is known throughout the city. Before it opened on the corner of Houston Street and St. Mary's the area was desolate. With the success and traffic Davenport brought to Houston St. other business felt comfortable opening there own establishment. Now Houston Street is buzzing with activity and Davenport is a beacon. It is an injusties that the place that catalyzed much of this activity would be put out of business due to irreconcilable differences. There for by signing this petition you are showing your support for the Davenport and hope it could stay at it's current location as it is. Thank you for your support.

Hortencia, United States8 years ago Comments: The Davenport did help to jump-start the successful revitalization of Houston St and for such circumstances as irreconcilable differences to cause its closure is unfair. It is unfair not only to those whose livelihood is associated with the Davenport but it is unfair to us, the paying customers. You are taking away a place that many of us who do not prefer the glitz and glam of other nearby establishments, could feel comfortable and enjoy an evening de-stressing after a long day or week of work. But most importantly you are taking away a place where many of us customers made friends of Davenport patrons and staff. Stop the injustice! Keep the D open!
Joe & Eydee Cox, United States8 years ago Comments: We opened a downtown location of our boutique last week - a big decision for us. Part of the decision-making process for us included consideration of Davenport's success and steadfastness. It was as if knowing we had a big brother who's been around the block once or twice looking out for us. I don't think the Davenport has run its course - rather with the right support it can retain its unchanging quality while adapting to the changing face of a downtown that it helped revitalize.
Julio Montenegro, United States8 years ago Comments: When shutting down an establishment such as Davenport on Houston St., its affect's the direct link to bring Downtown and Houston St. back to life. Davenport has made a safe-mark for other trendy bars and lounges to open on Houston. Not only does Davenport cater to those who visit San Antonio but to those that help keep Downtown running and full of energy. Julio Montenegro
