This is a petition that will be presented to Diddlebury Parish Council in the hope that something can be done with regards to how narrow the pavement is as mentioned above. This issue was taken to the parish council as mothers were concerned about walking their children to school and we were told that they had been offered some land quite some time ago and would look into seeing if they could acquire it again and divert the footpath as they were originally going to (apparently there was not enough interest first time round). We have now been told that this wont go ahead or be looked into further due to how much it would cost. Is the cost of doing this really more important that the cost of a life????
