We Support Diane Wiener's Application For Tenure

We, the undersigned, fully acknowledge the tremendous educational impact of Diane Wiener on our professional and personal lives. We believe that she is an asset to the Binghamton University Social Work Department, and the profession of social work in general. We believe that granting Diane Wiener tenure secures that future BU educated social workers hear points of view that may be suppressed, or otherwise unvisited by other social work professors.

Moreover, we believe that by not granting Diane Wiener tenure, Binghamton University will be losing a great and talented professor who dedicated her professional life to the benefit of social work students, and the profession of social work in general.

4 years ago Comments: Diane Wiener is an amazing professor who exemplifies the principles of a generalist social work program. I entered the field of social work because of the diversification of topics, settings, and positions available within this broad field. Dr. Wiener's work demonstrates her understanding of the person-in-the-environment practice that was so strongly reinforced by all of the classes in the MSW program.
