Dear Dr. Starr:

Diamond Elementary School PTA, Inc. and members of Diamond Elementary's staff and surrounding community hereby submit this petition to acknowledge and memorialize Mrs. Carol R. Lange's twenty-six years of outstanding educational contribution to Montgomery County and the State of Maryland, by naming and dedicating the Diamond Elementary School Media Center as the "Carol Lange Media Center."

Mrs. Lange's career in public school education began as a media/library assistant and ended with her retirement in June as principal of Diamond Elementary, where she served as the catalyst for superior school performance due to her exemplary leadership of a highly diverse community of learners. Mrs. Lange is to be credited for hiring and maintaining highly qualified teachers and staff who successfully delivered her vision of superior academics at our school.

Pursuant to the provisions of MCPS' Naming School Facilities Policy FFA §C.8. and Regulation FFA-RA Naming School Facilities §II.A.1., we the community stakeholders - old, current and new - respectfully submit this petition in support of dedicating and naming Diamond Elementary School's Media Center in her honor.
