Alison kalotka, United Kingdom5 years ago Comments: I benefitted from instrumental instruction from primary 5 until 6th year at high school. If I had not have had this I would NEVER have been able to attain a higher grade in music as I would never have had the oportunity to reach the required grade in an instrument without it. By cutting Music Tuition you are limiting the number of children who can take on music in schools AND preventing young musicians from entering university. My parents could not afford to pay for private tuition and most of the parents of children in D&G wont be able to either. Unfortunately this is another example of a tory lead council - a two teir music service with those that can afford private tuition being given better chances than those who cant.
