Some of the programs that our schools will lose will impact the entire community in a negative way. these programs keep our kids out of the streets by providing a safe, nurturing place to be along with empower them by preparing academically.

Comments: If our goal is to help create a more safer and educated society. Then cutting anything from the O.S.T. program will be detrimental to the stated goal. With the O.S.T. programs, children have a place to go where they are safe. They are also taught how to be safe as well as to make proper decision that will allow them to be successful in life thus moving towards the creation of a more Educated Society. Please lets not take this opportunity for advancement away from them by these proposed cuts.

Comments: Children need a safe and nurturing environment to go to after their academic school day is over. After -school programs are crucial to the well being of our youth. These programs provide a positive structured forum through which children can receive assistance with their homework assignments, become physically fit, explore their talents and receive guidance from staff members who care about them. Please reconsider taking funding away from the most vulnerable members of our society. Our children.

Comments: I truly disagree with the current budget issues we been dealing with. How can we take away from our youth and future leaders??? We should be here to be supportive in everyway possible, and stand strong behind our youth for the well being of our futures success. We need to provide help not take it away, these sources come more then useful to these kids... WHY? HOW? CAN WE TURN OUT BACKS ON THEM? I KNOW I WON'T.

Comments: The children are our future, if we stifle their growth by cutting important after school programs and by not funding their education by stopping metro cards, then where will we be in another 5 years as a society filled with more thugs, thieves and murders. Give our children hope and opportunity for the future.
