Name: Anonymous on May 3, 2010Comments: In a world where evil is a reality evidenced in terrorist attacks, murder, and all types of violent crime, I do not support a float which not only condones violence but actually glorifies brutality and past murders through reproducing images for the public in it's anual haunted house. This float was a representation of satanic evil and should be no more tolerated than a float celebrating evils like the holocaust or slavery. Please do not invite them back--the festival is our family's favorite Winchester event!Flag

Name: Jennifer Beaudoin on May 3, 2010Comments: My 8, 6 and 2 year old had to keep their eyes covered for 5 minutes because the parade was held up and this float happened to stop right in front of our seats. I just don't feel that the parade appeals to the appropriate demographic for this business. Apple Blossam is about promoting families, fun and community. I just don't see how that happens with this type of advertising.Flag

Name: Lee on May 3, 2010Comments: I understand that it is an age-restricted Haunted attraction run at Halloween, but that parade should have NEVER been allowed in the Grand Feature Parade!!! I don't have any children myself, but if any of my baby cousins, or friends children had been there to see it, I would have been appalled!Flag

Name: Nancy Bailey on May 4, 2010Comments: This float should not be allowed in the Apple Blossom Parade. While I understand everyone's freedom of speech I believe we should be able to take our children to this wonderful event without having to worry about them seeing this type of gore. The parade is not the place for that theme.Flag

Name: Jillian Simpson on May 4, 2010Comments: I am all for the people having the right to "express themselves" however there is a time and place. Not everything is black and white, sometimes there are shades of gray...that fine line. In this case, the Apple Blossom Committee needed to take in consideration its audience, which they clearly did not. Had people been given a CHOICE to see it is one matter but to have it publically shown in a family event like a parade swarming with small children, such as my own, was completely unacceptable!! This float should no longer be able to participate and if it is in next years parade, my family will NOT be attending!Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 4, 2010Comments: I'm sorry but the Devil's Den float had no business being in the Grand Feature Parade, that was open to the public including hundreds of young children. If people choose to see it, fine, but to force it upon the families who didn't want their children exposed to that kind of graphic material......shame on you!! I saw there was a petition to keep this from happening again, I am signing it and I encourage others to do so as well.Flag

Name: Howard Myers on May 4, 2010Comments: The AB Committee should be ashamed of themselves for even allowing this to happen. I cannot express how angry I was when I saw the looks on my children's faces!! To expose MY CHILDREN to that crap?? I guarantee if they are around even one more year, we will no longer participate in Apple Blossom. I would be SO happy to spend my money elsewhere.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 4, 2010Comments: Not family appropriate ... I thought it was a bit over the top and not in a good way, for the parade.. advertise their business in a more appropriate way in this type of venue.Thank goodness my children were playing away from the front yard when they came by!Flag

Name: Robert L. on May 4, 2010Comments: I agree with what everyone is saying about the Devil's Den float. It had no business being in the parade and definately should not be allowed back. There is no excuse. I'm thankful my children were with their grandparents, but I really feel for all those parents whose children were there scared, and crying. What kind of parade is that? One that makes children cry? Is this what Apple Blossom has come to? Very sad and disappointing...Flag
