According to highway statistics,there are about 8,000,000 registered vehicles in New York State. I would like to know if the department of motor vehicles can give registered motorists the option to donate 50 cents to organizations such as the American Cancer Society, St.Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Cancer Research Institute. I believe that if just 25% of all registered motorists donate 50 cents for research, we can raise about $160,000 a year.
