In the aftermath of the Newtown, Ct tragedy my 10 year old daughter wore a shirt to school that said Remember Sandy Hook Elementary, NewTown, Ct December 14,2012 ( on the front) and had the names of all 26 victims on the back. She was told that she could not wear that to school. I had spoke with the school and they confirmed that she is not allowed to wear it due to offending someone. I feel that she is being denied her right to freedom of speech, expression and compassion. The school also will not be participating in supporting the community of Newtown with cards or words of encouragement. I am trying to raise awareness of how some places are responding to the tragedy that affected so many people. Thank you!
