As Clinical Dental Technicians are the recognised professionals in this field, why are the public being denied this route to treatment? 

In this regard the public's best interests are not being put first, Clinical Dental Technicians should also be able to provide both full and partial dentures directly to the public and within the NHS framework. 

You hear a lot about care in the community, people in nursing/residential homes and the huge increase in people living longer in retirement age. The provision of dentures is essential to the health and well-being for all members of the community. Sections of the community are not registered with any Dentist, perhaps they have no remaining teeth, mobility problems or perhaps they are anxious about Dentists. 

Clinical Dental Technicians can visit those people, often in their own homes and provide denture services and advice. Support CDTs and sign the petition, so that they can present them to the General Dental Council and Government. Your support will speak volumes, lets open up the provision of Dentures directly to all members of the public and increase public awareness of Clinical Dental Technicians and the existing restrictions.
