I've never played a game as great as Demon's Souls, and (in my opinion) Dark Souls will never be able to keep pace with the original Demon's Souls game. Because of this, here I am trying to convince From Software to put out a DLC to extend Demon's Souls.
There are a lot of possibilities, like making another level with the broken archstone, more weapons, armor, spells/miracles, etc…Maybe even a second Nexus with another story.
In Demon´s Souls, the online component was always a big thing. No other game has had such a flexible combination of cooperative and competitive play. The Soul Sign summoning gave us a way to invite friends or summon foes to fight with/against however we felt like it. While Dark Souls has a similar mechanism, the locks and different signs implemented in Dark Souls somewhat limit the multiplayer experience, making it feel “less fluid”.
More importantly, the game mechanics themselves were dumbed down quite a bit from Demon’s Souls to Dark Souls. To this day I haven’t found a game that combines relatively simple controls with enough movement mechanics to make an easy to play, hard to master competitive game.
Many of the most avid players from both games agree that Demon’s Souls feels “more fun” than Dark Souls, mostly because movement is much more fluid in the former. This is why I’d like to ask you to think of ways of extending Demon’s Souls, instead of investing in Dark Souls.
Important: The point here is that we strongly believe that the gameplay and mechanics were much better in Demon’s Souls, so it would be nice to have either DLC released for it. In case of having another sequel, we’d prefer to keep Demon’s Souls’ mechanics over something like Dark Soul’s.
