Dear Mr Hamilton MLA & Mr Crossan,
We write as residents of a rural community with little or no access to Broadband.
We live in an era which means we need access to Quality, High Speed Broadband as part of our daily lives. Children can’t do homework, we online shopping is difficult, small businesses struggle to communicate with customers, farmers cannot complete forms online and to try and access services such as Netflix or Now TV are not an option for us.
We demand access to high quality broadband just like those Tax Payers and Rate Payers in places like Belfast. We struggle to access the very basic of services from any government department.
On a daily basis we see the BT Superfast Broadband van in our area, we see green cabinets in our area with ‘Superfast Broadband Available in Your Area’ and yet we still cannot get access to Broadband. No one can tell us if and when we will get services.
We are demanding fair and equal access to high-speed broadband.

I honestly cannot believe how many people have joined this fight because it feels like just yesterday I was sitting here frustrated by a spinning loading icon while trying to pay a simple utility bill. The momentum is actually real now and it feels like for once someone might have to stop ignoring those green cabinets that sit there mocking us with their empty promises.

I had my landline cut of as I couldn't get broadband. I've 2 children doing GCSE this year it's a disgrace in this day and age and then they I have yo oay £1800 on rates. A JOKE! !!
Was promised fibre optic in Feb paid three monthly bills and still had no connection. Still fighting to get my money back. All houses surrounding us have super fibre optic and I can see the box from my front door.
Speed of broadband is useless cannot watch Netflix feels like I have stepped back in time since moving closer to town 4 years ago. Very frustrating when trying to do Skype business calls makes Ulster look so backward.
Have been fighting for broadband for 3yrs now my last coversation with a bt representative i was told i would never get it so tough luck. Which i find very unhelpful in this day and age.
I have left my son at his Granny's this pm to use her internet to do a geography homework. We were told we were never getting internet!
insufficient internet speeds removing the ability to work from home (and as there is zero decent public transport to get around, it only adds to the insult).
Very poor internet around the Carnagh area

Too far from nearest exchange, 1.5mb download 0.7 upload. Tried to run a business for this address and it was impossible. There are closer exchanges but I'm. It connected to them. Badly managed. Extra special attention needs to be given to rural networks that maximise service potential.
