Women's soccer is a superb sport that has millions of fans all over the world yet it doesn't receive the recognition that it deserves.   Mia Hamm was a pioneer for women's soccer, she revolutionized the way the sport is viewed and respected.  As a superlative and preeminent in women's soccer it is so that an award at ESPN's ESPY awards should be named after this outstanding player. The award, The Mia Hamm Award, would have nominees from women's soccer who make a significant impact on the sport. Women's soccer needs better recognition and with the award and signing this petition we are making a difference.
