On 5/13/13 Astronaut Chris Hadfield delivered a version of the song Space Oddity from the International Space Station. Viewing the video after Bowie's culture-shocking death on 1/10/16 was beyond moving for those of us who felt deeply attached to the artist. Now that Bowie has been cremated, there may be another tribute that could show respect for the man and provide some solace and closure for those of us so deeply affected by his life and work.

Please add your name to this petition, which, once signed, will go out to Iman, who would be assumed possessor of Bowie's remains and to NASA, Elon Musk and other international organizations that operate a space program.

The request is simple; please transport all or some of David Bowie's ashes into space and release them among the stars. Help us all feel that even after his death we can bring life to the lyrics of Bowie songs like, Starman, Life on Mars, Space Oddity, Blackstar and, of course, Ashes to Ashes.
