| 802 | Nan Corliss | Bloomington,MN | US | I attended colleges both undergrad and graduate in Michigan, we lived in East Lansing for 3 years, my father was a U of M grad and we have family ties there still. I am appalled at this police brutality and the lack of professional behavior on the part of the paramedics. This country is still a democracy but behavior like this makes one wonder where we are headed. A doctor trying to assess the condition of a wounded person- handcuffed, shoved, accused of interference?? A paramedic using control tactics which could threaten the life of an unconscious person, an arrest of a person trying to help in a life-death situation? How sad these situations happen and they seem to happen more often than when I was growing up. We all need to step back, take a deep breath, and if we really like our freedoms and believe in justice for all, we need to turn our direction around and about face to those ends. |

| 811 | Duane Eareckson | Lynchburg, VA | | I was a victim of police brutality. The two arresting policemen charged me with felony assault of an officer and lied under oath; I interviewed probably twenty lawyers and found one vindictive and greedy and most others in denial about their complicity in a corrupt system; the prosecutor screwed around with a plea bargain; my first lawyer dropped me after I hesitated to accept the plea bargain when I discovered the lies in the police report; and, thankfully, my second lawyer managed to find a plausible technicality for the judge to rule my arrest was unlawful. Where do you think such behavior will lead, Mary Sue Coleman? |

Let us stop the corruption in the police department..They are slowly becoming more like a mafia clan .They are here to serve; not to harrass and kill. |
