"Never Again": Stop the Killing in Darfur

18 Signatures Goal: 100

To the Right Honourable Stephen Harper,Prime Minister of Canada, and to the Honourable Peter McKay, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade When the world saw the atrocities committed during the Holocaust, we swore we would never let it happen again. Then came Rwanda and Bosnia, and we swore "never again". Those three events murdered over 7 million people in the 20th Century. Now it is happening again, this time in the Darfur Region of Southwestern Sudan. This is the first genocide of the 21st Century, and it must stop. Over 400 000 people have been killed and 2 million have been displaced from their homes. How many human beings have to die before stopping it becomes a "worthwhile cause" How many times do we have to say "Never Again" before something is done By signing this petition we request that Canada play a larger role in international aggreements and push for UN resolutions that would stop this mass murder. Say what you mean and mean what you say- Never Again.
