   Comments: I am currently a substitute teacher looking for a teaching position. I was in a school today that already had planned for a lockdown to occur. I was in a kindergarten classroom today. I had explained that we would have a practice lock down drill today and the procedure we would have to use. When it was time for the lockdown, the children where terrified and I had to calm them down. I told them this was just a practice and there was no need to be scared but we needed to be really quiet. During the lock down I heard of the devasting news that happen today. I can't imagine anyone hurting these sweet and innocent children. Children around this time are counting the days down to Christmas and looking forward to Santa Clause. The children killed today where precious little lambs who knew of no evil. There hearts are truly pure. After school I was talking to several teachers and we all agreed teachers should be allowed to carry a gun to product our students. Even though these children are not our biological children we treat each child as our own. Teachers should be allowed to carry guns to help protect our children. My thought and prayers go out to the family.

   Comments: We must first turn our lives back to God to and repent of our sins to fix our nation. Second we MUST get this signed into law so that God can use our teachers to defend our precious children from the pure evil that we have allowed to seep into our society. Banning guns is not and never will be the answer. Asking for Gods Devine protection and using firearms to destroy the evils that attack us is the answer! God Bless

    Comments: Evil can only be defeated by facing it. Evil can never be overcome by fleeing from it. Even a few minutes could save dozens of lives. One must ask themselves a question. Why schools? Young victims and the absolute guaranty no one there can defend themselves.

    Comments: I agree that we should let teachers have the opportunity to arm themselves, but the problem will be that alot of teachers are Pacifists and I believe very few will agree to receive any formal training. I hope I'm wrong!

    Comments: We MUST be able to protect ourselves and our children. Does anyone think that if a shooter knows in advance the potential of every teacher in school having a concealed weapons carry permit they would would even consider doing what was done yesterday? The criminal knows exactly who are the most defenseless and that's who they prey on. We can't place enough armed guards, etc., in our schools to protect everyone in all circumstances. From news reports, this was over before the police could even get to the school, within a couple of minutes. If someone had had a CCDW it might have been over when he came through the door. It's a tragedy and my heart breaks for all involved.
