10 million people subscribe to Xbox Live at a cost of £40/$60 per year for simple services such as a friends list, voice chat, online multi player and a marketplace which requires you to spend money to get anything from. Xbox Live runs its games on a Peer to Peer based network which means that it assigns the Xbox which it feels can support the players in the room best. This system is flawed and always has been. Time after time people have to put up with laggy games. Why are there no dedicated servers for a paid service when PC games have had them forever at no cost. Why are there no dedicated servers for a paid service when its direct competition(Sony) offers dedicated servers on quite a few of its games at no cost. Please sign this petition so we can eradicate this laggy P2P based system that Xbox Live runs on and replace it with fresh dedicated servers for a smoother online multi player experience.

Nicholas Greif, Australia6 years ago Comments: All of Live's great features are irrelevant when one can't find a stable, lag free game in a timely manner. Dedicated servers should be an option especially when there's more than 8 players as a typical domestic connection is not sufficient for servicing more players. If XBL continues to be p2p I won't be buying the next Xbox as online aside I prefer the competitor
