The reason I support the death penalty is because I have som much RESPECT for human life. Anything other than the death penalty is an insult to the victims and their families. Without the death penalty, we will always see criminals walk away from their crimes. You can never be sure that these violent offenders won't kill again. I personally don't want to take a chance. I am in BC and we have just gone through the Willy Pickton trial. This monster SHOULD NOT be allowed to breath anymore of our precious air or waste any more of our money or time. Can you imagine the counselling the jury and others will need from being exposed to this crap Just to provide Pickton with a fair trial. I wish someone could prove that Pickton murdered a girl from one of the States that supports capital punishment. Then maybe we could kick him over to that state and let them give him his just rewards. As it is, this piece of S___T will get one of our famous Canadian slaps on the wrist and yes, put behind bars for so-called life. From all the evidence his brother and other assortment of low life crappy friends that he surrounded himself with are probably to blame as well. Too bad we couldn't get them as well. You know something has to be done. I really feel that if there was a stronger, nastier system in place, people like this (the Pickton bunch) wouldn't be as confident in their actions and have so much time on their hands. Just like our other infamous serial killer - the other piece of excretment, Clifford Olsen. I'm sick of hearing that our medical experts want to study their thinking patterns to find out what made them kill. Duh! Or that THEY have some sort of human rights They did it, they pay the price. In some ways Islamic extremists have it right on. I'm sorry, but the vision of these pieces of toxic crap dying a painful death or better yet, having a public beheading of them wouldn't bother me. Tell me when the event is and I'll sell tickets and make the snacks.Flag
