Dear CGA

There are countless and countless individuals among us who have sacrificed a lot to fulfill their dream of becoming CGA. CGA organisation and other Accounting regulatory bodies joined hands to create CPA and stunned every student who was planning to finish CGA and fulfill their dream at their own pace. By cutting short time,the whole process was made more gruelling for every student among whom there are working moms, single moms, bread winners of family, financially notdoing so good students/families, laid off employees, jobless individuals so on and so forth. This put a pressure on every student to finish as fast as they could.

Under this pressure many will have to quit jobs, find baby sitter for their kids, save every penny by perhaps eating less and do every possible effort to balance their job, families, and their personal finances, just to come in terms with new rules. A single mom of 2, who was given till 2021 to finish CGA, and whois the only breadwinner of her family, there is no other option but to give less time to her kids and more time to studies if she wants to finish CGA by 2015 (in some cases by 2017) because bridging to CPA is even more gruelling for her. She is cut down by 4 years, JUST IMAGINE HER LIFE. This is not a single case, there are countless more who have similar pressures. There was no other option but to follow new rules.

Now, once again another killer has been dropped on almost every current student who was trying to cope with above change and finish it in time. BC1, BC2, AT1 will not be required to complete CGA for 2014-15 and that is not it, there will not be any credits for these courses(except some remedy for non degree students)

WHAT A WASTE of TIME, and MONEY for those who worked day in day out to pass these courses.

There must be some compensation for all these courses not just selective credits in some cases. We have spent our precious resources for nothing.

WE HUMBLY REQUEST - CGA to please revisit your decision by givingsome credits to these courses for those students who have done it but don't need it now. It may be in the form of ***a course credit for PACE level, or more credits for degree or few months credit in mandatory experience.*** This will be only fair for all such students.

We request every student current, past, andperspective to please sign it and help us send our message to the prestigious organisation, of which we are a proud part.
