To: Hideo Kojima, Kojima Productions, Konami About: David Hayter Dear Mr. Kojima, When you announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, you rallied an entire industry. The reception was borderline universally positive. That positive reception faded. It faded when it became clear that Snake would no longer be part of the MGS franchise going forward. Sure, the name is there, but make no mistake, David Hayter IS Snake. His voice has warmed us up to this magnificent character. He has touched an entire generation of gamers with his riveting performance. Mr. Kojima, you may have created Snake's body, but it is David Hayter that created his soul. Without Mr. Hayter, there would be no Snake. Not like we know him today. He would not be one of gaming's most iconic, tortured and relatble characters, had he not been blessed by the voice and talent of David Hayter. And so, with this, I pleed to you. Bring David back as Snake, so that the character and franchise we hold so dearly can continue to live on in greatness. To me, there is no Snake without David Hayter. And by extension, without Snake, there is no Metal Gear Solid. And to all Metal Gear Solid fans who feel the same way, please sign up for this petition.
