This is a petition to ask the courts to be leinient and to have some understanding for the release of David Cartwright. Be it, excess probation, home and work monitoring, or whatever we can help with to bring him home to his family. He has not had any other probation violations other than this misdemenor offense since 2004. He has been serving his community well, completed the Celebrate Recovery Program and has no objections to any substance abuse programs he may be able to attend. While in states custody, there is no way for him to take care of his mother, or children, or to pay his obligated child support. Please find another sutible method of punishment than to punish those whom need him most. With the overcrowding of the penial population, we feel as if he can serve the community better than from behind bars, using the tax payers money. He does not deserve to spend 15 years in states custody for this misdemenor offense and is truly and regrettably sorry for letting his family and community down. Please sign this petition if you believe that David Cartwright is not the same delinquent to his community as he was in 2004 and prior. Thank you all for your time.
