He is known to many of us by editorials and began to develop an “International” reputation, which was another step towards achieving his “Total Look”. Top photographers he has worked with include: David Bailey, Lord Litchfield, late Norman Parkinson and late Terence Donovan. He has worked with many of the worlds leading fashion magazines including: English and Italian Vogue, Tattler, Harpers and Queen, and Cosmopolitan to mention a few. During his formative years Dar worked in a variety of top West End salons but moved frequently, sensing that he had learned all that he could from any particular placement, and eager to challenge himself further. It was for this reason that he joined the Vidal Sassoon Salon where he was to stay for almost seven years. After only two and a half weeks he was brought onto the floor as a stylist, the normal development and training time being four weeks to eight months. He found himself working among London’s top stylists and developed his hair cutting skills. He then went on to give shows and seminars all over Europe as well as India and Pakistan. With a reputation earned over two decades, the name of DAR instantly conjures up the glamorous image of celebrity styling – from hair through to beauty and make up. It was DAR who created the concept of the Total Look and his continued success with it has led to an ever growing A-list set of clients from the worlds of fashion, film and commerce.
