We, the undersigned, call upon Mr. Dan Rooney, a Steeler Nation icon and allegedly a pro-life Catholic, to rethink his intent to support and campaign for Barack Obama in the 2012 election.
President Obama had the worst pro-life record of any presidential nominee in 2008, and has continued to support anti-life legislation. He kicked off his presidency with an executive order reversing the Mexico City Policy, allowing taxpayers dollars to go to Planned Parenthood International. That was quickly followed by Obama authorizing taxpayer funding of embryonic research. He soon thereafter secured two Supreme Court picks that will ensure decades more of Roe v. Wade. In recent weeks, he refused Speaker of the House John Boehner’s attempts to defund Planned Parenthood.
