Name: Cuong Nguyen on Oct 11, 2010Comments: I agree, Nikon needs to step it up or they will lose support very soon. I'm a wedding photographer and see a lot of folks shoot wedding video with Canons. I shoot stills with Nikon and have invested a lot with lens. I wanted to add video packages to my wedding gigs and recently bought the D3100 to test the waters. Boy was it disappointing. The lack of manual settings really was a deal breaker and I'm planning to return it. The lack of frame rate options was also disappointing. If Nikon has nothing serious to offer (better, if not on par with canon) I might have to switch to Canon and sell my Nikon gear.Flag

Name: Julius Metoyer on Oct 13, 2010Comments: If the D7000 camera is released before the end of November I will be taking one to Thailand for a month. I am also disappointed that the frame rate's won't allow the shooting of slo-mo but I believe that Nikon is saving something for the full frame model that will come soon. At that time I will sell the D7000 and get a new full frame Nikon camera.Flag

I am a huge fan of Nikon and would love them to offer a real option to what Canon is already offering in the HD/SVLR revolution. I want the D7000 but am concerned about it's deficiencies. Please update firmware!!!!!Flag
