Name: Walter on Oct 8, 2010Comments: If Nikon wants to get the upper hand again in the converging field of photo and video, it needs to upgrade the frame rates and include 1080p (50/60). Also, it has to match the sound monitoring ability of canon. Full manual controls while shooting video (shutter, aperture and ISO). Perhaps, all of the above can be fixed through a firmware upgrade. At the moment, the Nikon d7000 is catching up not innovating. i was so ready to buy one but now i feel that i should wait for the firmware or a new model in the future. Is there something they could do about the D90. new firmware that fixes the current compression?Flag

Name: Martin Weller on Oct 9, 2010Comments: PLEEEEASSSSSEEEE - update the Nikon D7000. It's going to be a great cam - but with the right video features it will be a Canon killer. I live in Germany and the 25fps is obligatory. That couldn't so difficult - so please one firmware update and we are HAPPY! Thanks a million.Flag
