Comments: Dear Nikon, can you at least answer - is it possible to increase fps by firmware? Most users want to get a higher FRAME RATE and a lower bit rate, not vice versa. I would buy D7000 instead of the 60D if it had at least 1080@ 25 fps… Is it really so hard?.. Everyone wants that Nikon to beat Canon!

Comments: I agree, give us a variable quality setting for video just as we have for Jpegs. High quality short clips or highly compressed quality for longer clips depending on our needs.

Comments: Now I use a Sony PD150 video camera and a Nikon D80 to shoot for my productions. I'd like to change for a HD device as an all-in-one at high quality so I want the D7000 (or Canon 60D?), and for professional videos I will need the 50/60 fps mode. Consider it, please! Thanks, Zoli

Comments: 1080p 30p (29.97) is a must for all commercial work in the industry and what the 5D/7D has been mainly used for in recent years. To have D7000 lack this option is a severe disability to an otherwise $400 cheaper alternative to the 7D.

Comments: Yes couldn't agreed more. I had a play with the D3100, while it is somewhat impressive, I am hoping the D7000 to be much much much better improvements in the video side of things.

Comments: Hello, PAL users need 25p in 1080p mode aswell as 24p. It seems a shame to only offer 25p in 720p mode, this is crippling for European users! I also think that there should be an option for higher bitrate codecs, as there is nothing else stopping this camera being a pro option for DSLR shooters! Other frame rates also would be nice, especially 50p/60p

Comments: Fully agreed! I have been using a d70 since its release and do a lot of underwater photography with it. Given the higher costs of upgrading for underwater use, I've been waiting a long long time for a d300 replacement and this seems to be it. For stills D7000 seems to have everything but while waiting for d300 replacement I have been drooling over every canon release for its video features. If there was one canon video feature I wanted would be 720/60fps - doesnt sound impossible to implement in firmware so please get it done!
