We want you to be great, and don't want our newly purchased gear to be rendered obsolete in a year if you final do get it right on the next one. Get some firmware upgrades going and do right by your loyal customers.Flag

Name: Aaron Gum on Sep 29, 2010Comments: I own a D90 and lots of nice Nikon glass (24-70, 70-200, 105vr, etc) But lately have been using my camera more for video then stills. I pre-ordered a D7000 before seeing the video specs and example videos and am now considering switching to Canon solely for video features since it better video functioning really is that important to me. I'm still holding out for Nikon to jump ahead but friends' and roommate's Canon DSLRs are looking better and better every day.Flag

Name: Jim Wiseman on Sep 29, 2010Comments: I especially am concerned about the low bit rate. Higher bit rates are necessary for the market this camera is capable of reaching. I would hope this could be addressed with a firmware update. I would strongly advise that firmware updates become a priority in general.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 1, 2010Comments: I'm a big fan of Nikon glass and ergonomics. As a filmmaker I've been waiting for ages for Nikon to catch up on video. Nikon D7000 looks to be an amazing camera for stills. Too bad I can't wait any longer, probably gonna switch to Canon using Nikon lenses. If you can add 1080p, how hard is it to add 720p with 60/50fps etc? I'm keeping my Nikon lenses in the hope that Nikon might finally get it in the future...Flag
