Comments: I personally am having terrible withdrawal symptoms from the Cymbalta. The shakes, dizziness, forgetful, extreme irritability, vivid nightmares and weird muscle twitches/pain. If I had any idea how horrible this withdrawal would be I would never have taken it in the first place

Comments: These "brain shocks" are enough to make anyone want to blow their brains out. I told the doctor I wanted off the med, so she droped me from the 60s to the 30s, that was 3 weeks ago. I have been off of the meds for almost a week . About every 30 seconds I get this violent shock that starts in the back of my head/neck, and pulses through my whole body. it makes my lips and toes tinggle, and is driving me crazy.. I have gone through OXYCOTTIN withdrawls and the were not this bad, nor did they last this long. I want this drug removed from the face of the earth so that no one else has to go through the same shit.

Comments: You people are insane for putting this on the market w/o a severe withdrawal warning.. i've been off of cymbalta now for 3 weeks and i'm still expierencing nightmares, that's when i sleep, veritgo, throwing up, diarrea, headaches and mood swings.. It is just not fair that you sell something that will help you etter your life and when you try to get off it you are in living hell.. all of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Comments: I have been on this medication for about 9 months and feel it is not effective for me. I fully understand that it could be very effective for someone else and I do not wish to discourage its use for others providing they have all the proper information. That said I recently moved and had to find a new doctor who I have seen once, I explained my feelings about the in-effectiveness of this medication as well as the side-effects I had experienced and was told I should increase my dosage from 60mg to 90mg. I was extremely uncomfortable with this idea and decided against it. I am still taking Cymbalta 60mg 1x daily, and fortunately I have refills from my previous doctor that will last until I find a new doctor. I can not imagine stopping this medication without guidance. I have experienced mild to severe withdrawal effects if I did not take my next dosage of Cymbalta. These side affects can be felt 2-24 hours from the missed dosage time, and can last 1-6 hours even after taking the missed dose. I am aware that most medications of this type can have a withdraw effect (although dizziness or brain zaps were the only withdrawal effects I have experienced from other similar medications) , and that for me personally I will need a plan to take another medication similar in its intention before I can stop taking the Cymbalta completely because my depression, pain, and anxiety are still there. My withdrawal symptoms are unique from other similar medications in many aspects, I have taken quite a few others over the years and none have come on as rapidly or last as long, even after taken the missed dosage. The worst of these symptoms are the dizziness or brain zaps, anxiety like symptoms, and mood swings. And although I know the company is not responsible for the doctor who tried to increase my dosage after explaining my concerns and its in-effectiveness for me this doctor seemed unaware of the obvious withdrawal effects it has had on so many people. I also told this doctor that another medication ( I won't name) gave me severe withdrawal effects and for this particular medication she did seem aware of the withdrawal effects being worse than others That medication has been around longer than Cymbalta has. This is why these drug company's need to do more clinical testing before it is released. As well as making up pamphlets about the possible effects and what to do if your having problems with this medication rather than making tissue boxes, pens, and other advertising perks that I see in every doctors office. As well as the commercials on TV that cost so much to make and air, that I see constantly while I'm on the couch to sick to get up and from taking the drug they are advertising and not knowing what I can do to get relief from the symptoms its causing.

Comments: Cymbalta has caused my right hand to feel numb. It also has caused my head to zap. I can't think reasonably during this withdrawal. I have a sore throat. I hurt so badly all over I feel like I have the flu. Did I mention I can't think. I am a teacher and I can't think straight luckily I was off work for a few days but not sure what I will do on MOnday.

Comments: Every drug lists every possible side effect so they don't get sued. So we all start ignoring the list of 300 possible side effects. This allows drug companies to hide the common and very severe side effects in this list so normal people can distinguish what are the real possible side effects and what are the 1:100000 side effect.

Comments: We should be informed of the dark place you enter not knowing what is happening to your mind and body. Knowledge is power and with withdrawel this intense, it should be explained to the fullest . You take the glory for the good but turn your back on the destructive aftermath. Take responsibility, its yours.

Comments: My withdrawls include-dizzies, buzzed intocicated feeling, nausia, delusional, paranoia, fatigue, mental fog, forgetfulness, snaping/popping sounds in my head like rice crispies, head pain that feels like saran wrap is on my brain & shrinking it, my brain on some days feels hard, some says feels loose, some days feels sloshy, but everyday HURTS! 3 weeks so far-I Think I repeat myself all the time, I have night terros while awake trying to fall asleep. I am confused, and have no motivation. My brain feels like it is swelling & will explode out of my head. The paranoia scares me the most, but the dizzies really do frighten me, as I feel like I am going to disappear. I can not be trusted to drive, I also wonder about my rage I feel when it comes on me. Comments: I am currently helping a friend who is attempting to stop taking Cymbalta. The side effects are horrible. He is unable to work because of the side effects and I am in constant fear that he will commit suicide. The irony is that he did not start taking Cymbalta for depression, but for relief of neuropathy in his legs. He was not depressed before taking Cymbalta, but he sure as hell is now.He was only on the drug for 2 months and I cannot believe that the side effects would be so severe after so short a time. He has experienced hot flashes, vivid horrible dreams that last all night, feelings of worthlessness and mental confusion, thoughts of suicide, agitation, hostility, impulsive behavior and mania. It is now passed noon and he is still sleeping after going to bed at 10 P.M. last evening. He has had to take off work to try to get through this. I am worried for his safety and stay with him all the time to try to prevent his taking his own life.
