Comments: I unwittingly suffered through the Cymbalta withdrawal symptoms due to lack of knowledge about the potential for these symptoms.

Comments: I am on Day 5 of my withdrawal from Cymbalta. I am at work, barely, still dizzy, exhausted, and wishing I were dead. My doctor told me I would experience "a few days of headache, and some queasiness." HA! I have been barely CONSCIOUS for the last 4 days, and the only reason I'm up and about now is because I can't afford not to be at work.

Comments: I had a tougher time coming off this "legal" drug than any medication I have ever taken in my life. It is a disgrace that the withdrawal symptoms of this medication are not made aware of to the patient. If I knew half of what the withdrawal symptoms were like I never would have started this. Perhaps that was your idea from the beginning.

Comments: The withdrawl symptoms are horrible and need to be made aware to the public if they decide to try cymbalta and be prepared for the horrible withdrawl effects. While on Cymbalta it helped me but I could not take many other medications that I needed also and when you have fibromyalgia since it is many myalgias you need different medicines and you can not when you take cymbalta. I feel sick all the time now since the withdrawls and no one should have to pay this price.

Comments: Cymbalta is the most horrible drug in the world! I just thought that my panic and anxiety attacks were bad. I feel 100% worse now after taking cymbalta. The withdrawl symptoms are horrible. I was never made aware of the withdrawl symptoms. After reading all of the horror stories online, I realize that this is happening to many, many people as well. I think Cymbalta should be taken off of the market because of its side effects while taking it and the effects while trying to get off of it. It is a nasty, nasty drug and the effects of it should be made public and patients should be well informed of all of cymbata's effect.

Comments: I have tried to stop taking Cymbalta once. Now I'm scared to try again. I don't understand how these withdrawal symptoms can be kept secret when they so terribly effect the lives of us who take it. Everyone deserves to know the truth.

Comments: The withdrawal symptoms are so bad I can't think straight, my hands shake and twitch...this is awful..had I known the withdrawals were going to be this bad I honestly would of not taking the meds. How long will this last I am decreasing the meds myself without my doctor. It's unfortuante that Eli Lily does not disclose all pertinent information to their consumers...it makes us all second guess Eli Lily's commitment to consumer health. Thanks a lot

Comments: My wife has been coming off this stuff and I've never seen anything this bad. Doctors seem unaware of the withdrawal problems, but I have found the same symptoms she has suffered well documented online from those who have suffered through this. Thank God for the internet forums that are available and we didn't have to depend only on drug company BS and medical ignorance for an explanation of what was happening. She could have killed herself had we not found an answer for what was happening.

Comments: I reacted to Cymbalta by having extreme dizziness which has lessened some but is still greatly affecting me 8 weeks after discontinuation of Cymbalta. I had many other side effects also. I would like to see more information available as to what to expect regarding the length of time the side effects or discontinuation effects will last.

Comments: I was not informed of the withdrawl effects I was left to experience after I stopped taking Cymbalta. I missed work, felt suicidal, and extremely phisically ill. I do not believe that my doctor was informed of the side effects either.

Comments: My wife was on this horrible drug. Message blog sites of people talking about their withdrawals from it, gave us support. This is the only thing we could find. I was a drug addict and had to rehab myself 2 years ago, but watching my wife go through Cymbalta withdrawals is worse than what I went through, and much longer. Please do something with this medicine ASAP!

Comments: I have been taking Cymbalta for peripheal neuropthy for over ten months. When it no longer helped with the pain and I had gained over 25 pounds, I decided to get off of Cymbalta. It is also very expensive, and I would like to use my money on things that help me , not hurt me. Since I started tapering off of this drug, I have been suffering from several seriously debilitating symptoms. I have terrible brain zaps that are constant. I cant turn my head or move my eyes without almost falling out on the floor. It makes it almost impossible to go to work. My body aches from head to toe. I am having constant asthma related problems. I wake up every morning extremely congested and wheezie. My eyesight is extremely blurry. I have a constant stomach ache, nausea and diarreah. My heart pounds constantly so fast and so hard it leaves my chest aching! I am so weak and so tired all of the time. I feel as If I am going to die! My ears ring constantly. My mind is in a blurry fog. I can't drive my truck. I can't remember anything. I act as if I am drunk(I do not drink). I cry and cry and cry most of the time for no real reason other than I am so miserable! When I close my eyes to sleep, I have these horrible brain zaps that cause weird bright flashes of light in my head or mind ooooor mindseye(whatever it is) so that I cannot fall alseep with out the help of Benedryl! I have many more withdrawel symptoms, but these are the worst ones. Please so something. Stop leaving people in the dark about this drug! My symptoms started when I had only missed a dose by a few hours! There is something terribly wrong with this!

Comments: Even though I had been tapering off Cymbalta under my doctor's directions, I had terrible withdrawal symptoms for more than a week and milder symptoms continued for a couple more weeks. Eli Lilly should develop a tapering off kit which gradually gets patients off Cymbalta without severe withdrawal symptoms.
