The signatures on this petition were gathered as a means of demanding that the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly make public their knowledge of the potential withdrawal symptoms from their drug Cymbalta aka Duloxetine HCI. Eli Lilly has received approval from the FDA which will allow Cymbalta to be prescribed for depression, generalized anxiety disorder and for diabetic nerve pain. We feel that unknowing patients will be offered Cymbalta and due to lack of knowledge about the potential withdrawal symptoms will be making an uninformed decision and will begin taking Cymbalta under false pretenses. The undersigned are calling upon Eli Lilly to provide a written detailed description of the moderate to severe withdrawal symptoms that patient\'s are experiencing while trying to discontinue their use of Cymbalta. We the undersigned also ask that physicians be made aware by Eli Lilly pharmaceutical reps of any and all potential Cymbalta withdrawal symptoms prior to receiving samples of Cymbalta to be dispensed to patients. Finally we the undersigned ask that Eli Lilly provide information on the Cymbalta.com website regarding the potential withdrawal symptoms caused by Cymbalta and offer suggestions on how patients could better deal with these withdrawal symptoms. This petition will be delivered to Eli Lilly on the Twenty-fifth day of February in the year 2008. We ask any and all that would like the complete truth about Cymbalta to be available to the public to put their signature on this petition.
