Congress Works For Us!

45 Signatures Goal: 100

"We, the citizens of the United States of America, the voters and the taxpayers, are appalled at the job our elected officials are doing in Congress. We voted you into office to do a job and your performance is so poor the approval rate stands at a mere 14% today. And what is more horrifying...the fact that this is the highest your approval rating has been since February of 2008. In light of your poor job performance, we are petitioning you to forgo any pay until your approval ratings reach 50%, either individually or collectively. We are suffering with loss of jobs, homes, savings and income while we watch new allegations of corruption unfold, you dally over an economic recovery program, and billions of dollars are leaving your hands at our expense...unaccounted for!! Enough is enough. If you can't do your job you don't deserve to be paid for it. Maybe if a pay freeze is put into effect until you can perform your duties to the satisfaction of the people who put you in office, this country can once again move forward towards quick recovery."
