Please help parents have more rights on preventing any teen pregnancies. Medical world has a law stating parents cannot have any medical information on thier child/ren and if they want to know any test results the parents do not have any right to medical information unless child signs a permission to show thier information. I tried to get my daughter to get on birth control because she told me she may be pregnant. So after test was told to me with daughters ok, which was negative at that time, I asked them to get her on BC and she refused it. Dr.told me we cannot give her BC if she does not want it. Boy was I furious. So on last ditch effort I tried to as a parent give her an incentive of buying her a car when she turned 16 if she did not get pregnant. One month later she tells me she is pregnant. Now I am so furious over the laws that will not allow parents to prevent teen pregnancy but yet the government will keep having to pay all these things to help them like medical and government assistance later on when out of parents home, because they have no money to pay for thier responsibilities.We are trying to help our economy are we not? Meanwhile they charge parents a fine if they do not continue thier education. Parents have to be responsible for them until they are 18, an adult. I think if we do not have a right then if teens get pregnant then parents should be off the hook for being responsible for them. If they want to get pregnant on purpose as mine did, and they want to act like an adult then they should be classified as an adult and held responsible for themselves.
