Everyday I find it astounding how some Americans take their freedom for granted. I suppose that for some growing up without hardship can always complain or expect things on a silver platter, or that everybody should have hugs, peace, and love. For others that truely "sees" the world with open eyes knows that freedom of any kind came from sacrifices made by courageous men and women. I find it appalling that the Berkley's City Council can make this statement about the Marines. To give Code Pink a way to protest is one thing...it is their right. But for a City Council to represent Democracy to call the Marines "unwelcome intruders", is kind of like an ungrateful child spitting in their parents faces! I hope that others out there protest the actions of the City Council members. |
