Comments: I have teenage kids and I agree that the curfew should be set by the parents. My 14 year old son was on his way home whn he got a curfew ticket. $90 for being out 3 minutes after curfew with only 4 more minutes to walk. That is $30/min past curfew what a joke. It was not like he was breaking any other laws or planning on stirring up trouble for the next 5 hours he was going home.

Comments: I was arrested for being out past what the police thought was a good time, I wasn't violating any curfew laws. The curfew laws are unjust.

Comments: The state laws are pointless! What if there is an emergenmcy and the oldest sibiling of a family is babysiting younger brothers and sisters and there is an emergency at home and they decide to walk to their parents work they could get in trouble and an inocent life could be at stake.

Comments: I think that the curfew laws are just a way for the government to try and convince parents their children are bad kids. It should be up to the parents to tell their kids how late they should stay out.

Comments: We should not have curfews. Personally I do not like it. I got arrested for being out past curfew and it was only by a short while and i wasnt doing anything wrong. I think that it is the parents decision to say what their childs curfew is because if the parents know their kids are out then it should be okay.

Comments: I believe Curfew is not fair, because i prefer to walk around at night rather than the day, simply because my eyes are sensitive to light, and it is cooler at night, which i prefer. just because it is sleeping time for everyone else, shouldnt restrict the few like me.

Comments: I think curfews are good for younger kids 16 and up should have no curfew. Your able to drive a deadlt machine at 16 but you cant be out of the house passed midnight how stupid is that i agree with everything that was said about a movie, or hanging out at a coffe shop.

Comments: I'm a 17 year old kid, and sometimes me and my friends go to a late night movie at 10:30. I live about 30 mins away from the theater, and because of this new law, my mom has to come and pick me up instead of just driivng myself home.

Comments: I feel the police spend more time writing tickets to minors to make parents pay to keep the city pockets full, meanwhile there are serious criminals on the streets that they can never seem to catch as they are busy harassing minors, my son was issued a curfew violation ticket from returning home from a concert late accompanied by my 24 year old nephew who had my consent to take him to the concert, and I have to go to probate court with my son over this matter, and have to pay a minimum of $75 dollars court cost plus cost of the infringed fine. However to get an attorney to fight this rediculous ticket would cost me over $600 dollars. So what can we as parents do And as for our children they are taking a hostile attitude towards the police because they feel they are treated unfairly by themthem.

Comments: I just got my license and I have to be home at 11. That is incredible because nothing starts until at least 9 that only gives me about an hour and a half anywhere I go. That is not enough time the curfew could at least be 12.
