   Comments: The demand for curbside recycling in quickly developing eastern Goochland is enormous, and the relative density of development east of Fairgrounds Rd. makes curbside recycling cost-efficient. The Fairgrounds Rd. convenience center's bins are often overflowing, even with the addition of the third bin. I have been told by convenience center managers to put recyclables that will not fit in the recyc bins into the Dumpsters, which rather defeats the point. The very small cost of adding curbside recycling -- one which I would gladly pay -- far outweighs the personal costs of time involved packing recycling safely into my car, driving to the convenience center, and waiting to unload my recyclables (assuming there is space in the bins). If the cost of this service is borne by the county, I am sure it would be mitigated in part by decreased need to purchase more bins and/or increase space, hours or staffing at the convenience centers.
