In order to reduce single family waste removal in Airdrie, a curbside recycling program needs to be set in place. It has had great success with Calgary residents and to accommodate the many new residents coming from Calgary, this service is necessary. The current facilities in Airdrie that provide recycling options are not convenient or efficient. Too many residents are throwing away recyclable materials because of this. Thankfully Airdrie does not have a landfill for us to see the needless dumping that takes place in Calgary. Out of sight is not out of mind!
