Comments: I agree with the intent of this statement.I disagree with those who blame the Danish goverenemt for the actions of a few misguided people. I even disagree more with those who want to silence freedom of the press and expression even when they are as insulting and moypic as descrbed in this petition.

Comments: Once again, freedom of speech is used as an execuse to inflict insult on Muslims. What is more disgraceful than the newspaper's attitude is the Danish Government's approach tot he issue. THey have again demonstrated how incapapble they are in accepting the other.

Comments: I often find political and ediorial cartoons very funny as long as my ox is not being gored! As I understand the petition the cartoons mentioned are a direct slap at a particular religion and its dead founder. and I object to that sort of attack It seems to me that a disrespectful attack on St Paul, the Pope, Abraham , and the Prophet fall into the same category of deserved respect. The The disrespect shown by those editorial cartoons seem to be misdirected. There are, certainly people within any religious group, who are vulnerable and deserving of to that sort of editorial and political commentary. Leave it at that. History has shown that nearly all religions have had grand moments of failure and have had proponents who have misled a portion of the faithful
